Many creatures with different statistics battling it out. They all have max range.
These demo's were created to accompany a coding tutorial on my website davidphillips.me and show a flexible combat arena created in Unity. Any amount of creatures can be added through xml and set up with tons of varying stats like, speed, behaviors, items etc.
The green cubes are creatures, the blue cubes are home-base, the colored spheres are items, and if a creature collides with a wall it switches its behavior. The colored lasers are the creatures attacking once they are in range.
All of these creatures are set to "Wander" which means they constantly will find a new point to move to even when they are under attack or attacking an enemy. Other behaviors allow to bot to focus on one enemy and react accordingly.
These creatures are set to spiral around their starting point and have a somewhat short range and similar health. If they collide with a wall they go into "Aggressive" mode and hunt the closest enemy.
One creature has much more health and a larger range. It's behavior is set to "Search and Destroy" which means it targets the closest creature within its search radius
